My Project

A Chromebook for classroom use will open a whole world of opportunities to my students. This will give them access to their Google Drives and Classrooms so that they can work on their projects for all classes, as well as go online to check their current grades. They can access the online component of our new math curriculum where they can submit their classwork electronically. Additionally, my students will be able to use it for Internet research and homework before and after school and at lunch. Our Chromebooks are used for online math enrichment activities, creating videos, and rich classroom discussions. They can also be used to organize some of the community service projects we have coming up this year! The possibilities are endless.

In today's world, educational technology for classroom use is not a privilege, it is a necessity.

Luckily, our school has become a Verizon Innovative Learning school, and over the past two years we've started integrating technology into many areas of the classroom. However, budget cuts mean that when a Chromebook or charger doesn't work or has unfortunate damage, we are often unable to replace them or give them a temporary one to use while theirs is getting fixed. Thanks to the support of donors like you, all students in my classes will soon have access to technology, whether in school or at home.
