This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

How often do you use your electronic devices? Can you imagine yourself, limiting the usage of today's technology once or twice per week? As a teacher in a Title I elementary school, I find myself not providing the vital tools for all my learners. More than seventy percent of our campus receives free or reduced-priced lunch, and a lot of my students don't have access to the technology outside of the classroom.

My inquisitive, active learners are constantly reaching out to equip their knowledge for a successful future.

My students come from various cultural backgrounds, creating a unique and diverse classroom. As a learning facilitator, I ensure that I have created a safe, comfortable, and exciting classroom environment for my students. My students are funny, unique, and hard workers who come to class ready to learn. They enjoy participating to the different modalities of learning and love being exposed to the different learning opportunities that are available.

My eager, enthusiastic learners work very hard to be ready in this challenging 21st century!

My Project

We live in an era where the technology has become an important component for our students in education today. I strongly believe that providing the necessary tools at an early age, will expand their limited learning opportunities and gain the knowledge they need to meet the expected standards. The Chromebooks will allow my student to access the educational websites that reinforce the skills and enable higher level learning.

The Chromebooks will be served as an important tool that will create an authentic learning experiences and build successful learning community in the class.

My students will be able to work in centers with the Chromebooks to access reading and math activities such as Prodigy, ReadWorks, CommonLit, Raz Kids, Tenmarks, and Mystery Science. They will be able to go online and do researches and publish their final products in Google Classroom to share with their classmates.

In addition, the technology will provide an opportunity for the students to become independent and collaborative learners to showcase their projects to display their understanding of the concepts learned in class. I would love to have my students to have daily access to the Chromebooks, making sure they are college and career ready.
