Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Students at my school work incredibly hard. This college prep school offers students AP courses, an IB program, sports, clubs, after-school courses, and so much more. In order to take advantage of all these opportunities, students need access to the best resources out there.

College success requires appropriate access to technology, and our students need your support to compete with their wealthier peers.

Our families often do not have the financial resources to supply their students with laptops when going off to college. Tuition is so expensive that there's nothing leftover for a computer. In order to excel in a college atmosphere students need a computer. We hope to help provide them with a computer upon their graduation.

My Project

When a student goes off to college, they pack up their entire lives. They pack up their clothes, their shoes, their pictures...and their computer.

Many professors have online components to their classes, recorded videos of their lectures, and requirements to type assignments.

This isn't realistic to ask of students without giving them access to the appropriate technology. Many of my students' families can not afford to purchase computers for their children- paying for college is hard enough!

Help me provide what my kids need to not only attend college, but graduate. This simple necessity can alter the course of their lives.
