Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

All of our students need reliable access to their Chromebooks so they can learn, create, and collaborate every day. Right now, low batteries interrupt lessons and limit who can participate fully. A classroom charging station with power strips and spare Chromebook chargers will let students keep devices ready — no more missing out because a battery dies.

With a secure charging station, students can plug in between classes, during short breaks, or at the end of the day so lessons start on time and everyone can join digital activities.

Labeled cords and numbered slots will teach organization and responsibility; student tech monitors can manage charging routines and build leadership skills. Spare chargers and a backup power strip ensure one forgotten cord won’t keep a student from learning.

Having reliable charging available also supports differentiated instruction: students who need extra time with online resources can charge and continue working, small groups can share devices without scrambling for power, and teachers can confidently assign digital homework knowing devices will be ready. The station is portable and durable enough to move for presentations or fieldwork, and surge protection keeps devices safe.

In short, the charging station will remove a common barrier to learning, promote equity, and give students the steady access they need to develop digital skills, complete projects, and participate fully in classroom life.
