My Project

At the beginning of kindergarten, one of our most exciting learning journeys is discovering letters and sounds. My students absolutely love the book Chicka Chicka Boom Boom! Over the first few weeks of school, we use this engaging story in multiple reading lessons to build foundational literacy skills, including letter recognition, sequencing, and storytelling.

To extend this learning beyond the classroom, I would love to provide each child with their own copy of Chicka Chicka Boom Boom.

Having the book at home will support retelling, strengthen early reading habits, and foster a love of books with their families.

In addition, to support our small group reading and math instruction, I’m requesting a rainbow storage cart. This organizational tool will help us keep small group materials sorted by subject and level, making transitions smoother and maximizing our precious learning time.

Your support will directly impact early literacy development and create a more organized, efficient learning environment for my kindergartners. Thank you for helping us build strong readers and confident learners from the start!
