This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Students in my school, year after year, crave the opportunity to create, think, and discover. My school is designated Title I, which means that many of our students come from underprivileged households.

Providing opportunities for children to explore and express themselves while supporting their educational needs not only increases engagement with the content but also creates lifelong learners who are college and career-ready.

I love to see the joy on my students' faces when they engage with material that is challenging and watching them persevere in completing the task.

My Project

My students just finished reading The Wild Robot. They loved the adventure of Roz and her animal friends. My students crave high interest fiction stories where they can get lost in the world of fiction. At the end of the novel, my students were devastated that they did not know what happened to Roz next.

As a teacher, seeing my students disappointment that we finished a book, is the best feeling.

The sequel, The Wild Robot Escapes, is the next adventure for Roz and I would love to indulge my students'fascinations.
