Chair Pockets and Movement Mashup!

Help me give my students chair pockets and SEL resources to assist with regulation. The chair pockets will help students to organize their notebooks, school supplies, without having to keep them on top of their desks.

My Project

Thank you for helping to fund my first project in a while! It gave me the encouragement to post a second project here.

As a teacher who is returning to the classroom after 11 years, I understand the excitement and opportunity that lies ahead with a new school year.

The chair pockets will help students to stay organized, by keeping their pencil box, art supplies, folders, and books, at the chair for easy access throughout the day, whether they are moving themselves to a small group or learning as a whole class together. The chairs can be easily moved so their materials can move with them, too!

The body socks, bosu ball, and yoga mat with cards will help provide additional opportunities and supports for students to assist in regulation and with daily movement. The body socks will help students to stretch and move their bodies in a fun and safe way. The bosu ball will also help students with their balance and to serve as an alternative seating choice. The yoga mat with poses and yoga cards will also help students to stretch out their bodies when they are in need of a movement break or for indoor recess. As a teacher who practices and teaches yoga to kids myself, I know how important it is to have an outlet to move your body!
