My Students

My first grade class is full of fun, eager and ready to learn, six and seven year olds.

My students are busy each day doing self directed and teacher direct learning centers.

These learning centers include stamping words, making words with magnetic letters, cutting and gluing words, reading, writing on white boards, in journals, and on paper. They use pencils, markers, colored pencils vis-a-vie markers and white board markers to make each task new and add increase the motivation. We are really busy all day learning and growing while having a lot of fun. We are located in Sandy, Utah.

My Project

The materials I have picked for my project will be directly used by my students. I picked some flexible seating for students to use while reading to one another, markers and erasers for white board writing and correcting, foam dice for math centers, pencil boxes for organizing and separating student supplies to limit the amount of touching. I also have a iPad stand that will be used to enhance lessons using technology. I will be able to project lessons through my iPad that my students can see directly on the screen.
