Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are about to reach an incredible milestone: high school graduation. For many of them, this moment represents years of perseverance, growth, and determination in the face of significant challenges. Our school serves a community that is 95% Latino and Black, with the majority of students coming from low-income households.

Milestones like this one matter, especially for students who don’t often have access to celebrations that honor their achievements.

This project will create a meaningful lemonade celebration to recognize our graduating seniors. With your support, we will provide refreshing drinks, decorations, and a welcoming atmosphere where students can come together, reflect on their journey, and feel seen and celebrated.

Research shows that positive school experiences and recognition increase student engagement, confidence, and long-term success. By funding this project, you are directly supporting equity, social-emotional well-being, and a culture of celebration for students who deserve it most.
