Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My second grade students are eager, curious learners who love hands-on experiences. As we approach February, they will be learning about Chinese New Year and the traditions that make this celebration so meaningful around the world.

This project will create a joyful and memorable way for my students to learn about global traditions of Lunar New Year while celebrating their growth and hard work together.

With the help of dragon puppets, my students will bring this cultural celebration to life through movement, storytelling, and cooperative play. The puppets will help students understand the symbolism of dragons while encouraging creativity, collaboration, and cultural appreciation.

To complete our celebration, I am requesting simple snacks so students can enjoy a shared classroom experience.
