I have the best students that a teacher could ever hope for! They are dedicated, passionate, and ready to succeed.
They love making music together and grow as individuals from their experience in the band program.
Our school is located in a community that's motto is, "Home of the Arts". However, ninety percent of the students in our school receive free or reduce priced lunch. We have access to school owned instruments but we do not have much of a budget to improve our classroom or program. This campaign will benefit our students in our school's band and orchestra.
Our band and orchestra rooms are located on the second floor of our school and the auditorium is located on the ground floor. Currently, we do not have a way to get our music stands down to the stage in an efficient manner. Additionally, our music stands do not have a "home" when they are in our room which leads to an element of disorder in the classroom. The resources that I am requesting will not only help organize our room, but will save time by allowing us to transport our stands in a matter of minutes using our elevator rather than carrying each stand individually downstairs each time we have a performance.
These materials will make a huge difference.
With budgets trending downward, our district is not in a position to provide these materials for our classroom. Thanks to generous donations from people like you, we will be able to focus on instructing students in an organized classroom.
