Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Every student deserves the opportunity to see their learning, celebrate their accomplishments, and express themselves in meaningful ways. In our special education classroom, many of our students learn best through visual supports, hands-on experiences, and activities that connect learning to their own lives.

We are requesting a photo printer to help bring learning to life in our classroom.

With this printer, we will be able to quickly print photographs, visual supports, student work, classroom routines, and personalized learning materials.

For our students, a photograph can be much more than a picture. It can help a student understand a classroom routine, recognize people and places, communicate a choice, remember an experience, or proudly share something they have accomplished. Printed photographs can also be used to create visual schedules, communication boards, social stories, matching activities, sequencing tasks, and personalized learning resources.

The printer will also allow us to celebrate our students' successes in a tangible way. Whether a student completes a challenging task, participates in a new activity, creates a piece of artwork, or reaches an individual goal, we can capture that moment and give students something they can see and hold onto.

Most importantly, this project will help us create a classroom where every student can see themselves as a learner and feel proud of their progress. The photo printer will be a small tool with a big impact, helping us make instruction more accessible, engaging, personalized, and joyful for our students.

With your support, we can turn everyday learning moments into lasting memories and meaningful learning opportunities.
