My Students

My Louisiana school serves children at the middle to low income levels with a high percentage of military families. Due to the military presence, the students come from diverse socioeconomic and multicultural backgrounds. The school's motto is "Imagine Greatness!" This motto is well-known by the teachers, staff, and students who all strive for greatness daily!

Even though, my students have special needs they continue to strive for greatness.

They don't allow their disabilities to hold them back! It is amazing to watch them strive to do their best and become great each in their own way.

My Project

For the most part in today's classrooms, paper and pencil tasks are used less and less frequently. A majority of the reading and math instruction and practice is done using some type of digital learning device. This makes it very important for my student's to have their own device to use throughout the school day. Chromebooks are the best type of device to use to enhance digital learning due to versatility, ease of use, and engagement opportunities.

When students have their own Chromebook they are able to utilize all of the Google applications and access the many learning programs used in our classrooms today.

Students will be able to use the Chromebooks to compose writings, make presentations, and complete projects. The addition of Chromebooks into the classroom will truly help captivate learning among my students.
