This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I have been asked to switch to 7th grade to help a class of amazing students. I don't want to take my 6th grade supplies for my new 7th graders. These donations will really help with my transition to a new class.

I wish I could paint you a picture of the looks of pride on the faces of my students when they learn something new.

It is a priceless portrait. We are very fortunate to use Chromebooks 100% of the time. A class full of eager learners can become quite loud as they each use their computers; earbuds would remedy that problem nicely. Also, many of our students have siblings at home, and homework on the computer may require headphones to aid in concentration.

My students will be able to hear their computers better and it may help them with concentration at home and in a crowded classroom. Also, there is a constant need for lined paper, pen/pencils, journals, sticky notes, snacks/rewards, and clips. These earbud headphones and other class supplies are just seemingly small resources that would make a huge difference in our students' day.

Virtual learning was incredibly difficult in the past years, but our students handled the ever-changing circumstances with humility, love, and kindness. We are still at a critical time due to the COVID-19 virus, and we could go virtual again, if needed. The students would really appreciate having earbud headphones; however, many just cannot provide them
