My Project

My students are naturally curious and learn best when they can explore science firsthand. They ask thoughtful questions, make careful observations, and thrive when learning moves beyond a textbook and into authentic investigations.

These planaria regeneration kits will allow students to observe one of biology’s most fascinating phenomena—the ability of some organisms to regrow lost body parts.

Students will design investigations, collect data over time, and analyze how living things repair and regenerate. The microscope slides will provide clear visual examples of planarian structures, helping students connect what they observe during experiments to the anatomy that makes regeneration possible.

By engaging directly with living organisms, students will experience science as practicing scientists do: asking questions, gathering evidence, and making discoveries through observation. These materials will transform an abstract concept into a memorable learning experience that students will carry with them long after the unit ends.
