Because of your generosity, my students spent the year experiencing science instead of simply reading about it. They observed living protozoa under microscopes, dissected earthworms and perch, and explored the structures and systems that make life possible. These resources allowed students to ask questions, make discoveries, and engage with science in ways that brought our lessons to life.\r\n\r\nThe excitement these materials generated was incredible. There is something special about watching a student's face light up when they make a new discovery with their own eyes. Students who might not always be eager to participate became fully engaged when they had the opportunity to investigate real specimens. The classroom was filled with curiosity, questions, and conversations as students worked together to figure out what they were seeing and how it connected to what we were learning.\r\n\r\nOne of the most meaningful moments for me happened recently when I ran into a former student several years after he had left my class. During our conversation, he immediately brought up the dissections we had done and shared how much he learned from those experiences. It was a powerful reminder that the lessons students remember most are often the ones where they are actively involved, exploring and discovering for themselves.\r\n\r\nYour support helped create those memorable learning experiences. Beyond learning science content, students developed observation skills, critical thinking, perseverance, and confidence in their ability to investigate the world around them. You helped transform science from something students study into something they do, and that impact will last far beyond this school year.
