My Students

I have the honor and privilege of teaching history to the best students in the world. My students enjoy being challenged and learning something new. Deep down, they crave knowledge and understanding, but more importantly, they are brave, brilliant and hilariously funny. The vast majority of my students face extraordinary challenges outside of school. They are fearless and determined to succeed. For many students, my classroom is their safe-haven.

Relationships are important and each one is unique.

They come each day to learn history, feel love, and support. I provide structure and accountability for all, which allows my students to reach their highest academic performance. Year after year, student achievement data shows the high value I place on relationships correlating with high academic student achievement. As a teacher, my job is to also advocate for their learning needs. Research shows using technology appropriately creates rigor and an increase in academic performance.

My Project

Having access to a high quality printer will help create a thriving learning environment for all students. My students want to show their hard work and dedication by being able to display their projects and learning throughout my classroom and school hallways. This printer will also be utilized for students to print assignments and study material as needed. Many of my students do not have access to devices or internet outside of school. This printer will allow historical projects to come to life, primary source analysis, and studying material. The extra ink will aid in long term learning.
