My students are eager to learn and adore the few items I have in the classroom that relate to Camping,Fishing and Hunting.

My students do not have many out of school experiences provided to them. I want the opportunity to give them an experience they will never forget. We don't have the funds to purchase this kit and I know my children would enjoy it and learn life long lessons. The year to hook children on school is Kindergarten and if you give them excitement in learning they have a 90% chance of continuing school and achieving a college education.

My students need the Outdoor Classroom Learning Kit because my classroom is set up with the camping theme. I have a deer blind for "Writing Waterfall", a tent for "Camp Read A Lot", A listening center for Listening Log, and I have computers for the "Computer Cliff", "Construction Cove," and "Math Mountain." My science center is "Research Rock" and it includes birds, turtles, hamsters, and a ferret. These centers that are included in the Outdoor Classroom Learning Kit would teach my children about real life skills in the outdoors. We are a Title 1 school with limited funds. Most of our children don't know about camping, going to zoos, and outdoor adventures. The materials also correlate with the TEKS in Kindergarten. It would greatly help energize and motivate my hard to reach children. Many children need hands-on experiences and this kit would provide that to them. The resources in the kit include everything I could possibly need for every center. It would also give me the opportunity to keep all the children engage in an exciting learning experience while I work with children who are struggling.

You have the chance to make a difference in the life of a child who may never have this opportunity. It is not only exciting, but educational. It is a project that can be used for many years. The smile from my children will truly be embedded in my heart and yours forever if these learning centers become part of the classroom.
