My Project

The items that I am requesting will help me create a calming reading area and will provide choice time items that will be used as a reward when academic work is completed. As a special education teacher, my priority is to assist my students in developing and learning to their full potential. In order to do this, I need a variety of materials that meet the individual developmental needs of each child.

The donations to my project will assist me in creating a reading area that is warm and inviting.

The Quiet Time Privacy Cube will be a much enjoyed addition to our classroom reading area. All of the students in my room love the book area and would enjoy spending time in the privacy cube while reading a book. The Rainbow Stack Ball Track, My First Marble Run, Talk with Me Counting Cookie Jar, Tracing Number Center, and Fine Motor Forest Friends would be used for my students who struggle with both gross motor and fine motor skills.

By providing these materials for my students, I will be able to create a reading area that is inviting and I will be able to provide items of interest as a reward for task completion.
