This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are caring, curious, and energetic. My students are aware of their social-emotional needs and asked for a calming corner in our classroom. The calming corner setup will support my students to self-manage their emotions when they are feeling stressed, frustrated, agitated, etc.

We moved the furniture around and created a calming corner that has the potential to be amazing.

These sensory objects such as the stretchy gel toy, lavender and eucalyptus essential oil, cordless essential oil diffuser, sensory bin, and the area rug will create a calming environment for my students.
