Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

UTK/CC is a new program that provides children in the extended transitional kindergarten (ETK) grade level and transitional kindergarten (TK) grade level a play based learning environment that will build their foundational skills for their academic career. Our class is an inclusive environment that consist of children in the general education population and students with an individualized education plan (IEP).

Since our class serves a younger age population, social emotional development plays a vital role.

This project will help fund our students with materials that will enhance their skills, provide opportunities for growth, and help with self-management.

Studies have shown how learning in a play-based environment and providing opportunities to regulate emotions will enhance children's development. By having these activities available for our children will guarantee a high quality learning environment.
