Here they can use the strategies posters and books to help them identify what they are feeling and what they can do to feel better. Once they feel that are calm they go back and join the group. This allows them to be ready for learning. \r\nHaving your emotions in check is crucial for learning. Children cannot learn when they do not feel well. Their bodies are in a fight or flight state that does not allow for anything else. That is why it is necessary to bring them back to a state of calm.
