This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a Psychiatric Social Worker, my main role to provide a safe space for students to be able to go to a trusted adult and verbalize and express their feelings with no judgement. The supplies would greatly support my students and school community by encouraging social/emotional learning and importance on mental health wellness. The materials I'm requesting, such as visual emotions charts, fidget toys, calming jars and seats, will help students self regulate and identify their emotions. This will greatly support students to thrive academically, socially and emotionally.
