This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Calming spaces are essential areas in a classroom setting where students can go to decompress and bring themselves to a calmer mental place. What better way than to be able to provide a space than in the classroom setting where they spend a good portion of their day.

The calming space will give my students the space they need to feel safe in the classroom.

This is a place they know will be available to them whenever they need it to get away from noises and distractions that can sometimes overwhelm students who already face their own personal challenges outside of the classroom setting.
