Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Middle school is exciting, but it can also be overwhelming. Many students arrive each day carrying stress, anxiety, and distractions that make it difficult to focus. My goal is to create a classroom where every student feels safe, welcomed, and ready to learn.

Flexible seating and a reflection space will give students choices that help them regulate their emotions, improve focus, and stay engaged during instruction.

Some students learn best while sitting on the floor with a lap desk, others benefit from wobble seating that allows gentle movement, while others simply need a quiet space to regroup before returning to learning.

These resources will benefit every student in our classroom by creating a comfortable, inclusive learning environment where students feel valued, supported, and prepared to do their best every day.
