Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This year we are trying to help all 25 of our teachers build out 'Peace Corners' in their classrooms so that students have a calm and welcoming private space to cool down when they need a break throughout the day.

This project will provide every classroom with a set of timers, fidget toys, and breathing technique cards so that students can regulate themselves while using their Peace Corner.

The Peace Corners will be far more useful for students with these resources, as these materials will help students build their skills for coping with difficult emotions both inside and outside of the classroom.
