My Project

The **emotional octopus** visually communicates feelings they can't yet name. The **rainbow Pom ball** and **textured sensory stickers** offer physical outlets, redirecting nervous energy through tactile exploration and calming touch. Finally, the **mindful maze** guides them through structured, deep-breathing exercises to lower their heart rate. The *bean bag chair* gives them a deep pressure embrace which naturally calms children when feeling overstimulated by making them feel grounded and safe.

Together, these specific tools cover visual, tactile, and somatic needs, transforming big, overwhelming emotions into manageable, independent moments of peace for young learners.

A calm-down corner needs diverse tools to help kindergarteners regulate different emotional states. For me, It’s important to focus on not only the academic gains of my learners but their social emotional development as well!
