Calm Down Corner for Emotional Regulation

Help me give my students a calm down corner to help them regulate their emotions as well as some social emotional learning tools to help them better understand how to regulate their emotions.

My Project

These supplies (stools, carpet, flip paper) will help me to create a comfortable calm down corner for my students who may be experiencing big emotions. The rugs will provide a comfy cozy area for my students to retreat to. The calm down kitty will help my students to relax and practice their deep breathing in a fun interactive way. The chart paper and easel will help me to provide social emotional education and anchor charts. The chair bands will help my students stay calm and regulate themselves in their learning environment. The stools will provide seating for small groups to participate in the social emotional games and activities. The white boards, markers, papers, and writing utensils will help my students to express themselves in order to better understand their emotions. My students are so smart and try so hard. They deserve a comfortable place to help them deal with their big feelings. They will gain so much from these resources.
