My Project

These specific items will be used for a calm down corner - hence the project name "Calm, Cool, Warm, & Collected". Just as students will use these building materials to create something new, they will also learn to build the skills they need to manage big emotions, regain focus and make positive choices.

With these hands on building materials, students can build with their hands while building and collecting emotional skills at the same time.

My first graders are capable, hands-on learners who come to school ready to learn, explore and grow. We are all about building ourselves up, and when we have a "moment" we can reset and return to learning feeling calm, cool, warm, and collected.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
