There was a moment in my classroom when a student became emotionally upset and we had her go to the calm down corner, use the items to build and then reminded her of the skills she has within herself to manage big emotions, regain focus and make positive choices. \r\n\r\nWhen students first saw the materials they were curious about what the materials were and how we were going to use them inside our classroom.
