My Project

My coworkers and I work with a fabulous set of students who try their best to be learners every day! However, many of these students lack the skills to effectively handle the big emotions that sometimes accompany growing up. When we are so caught up in emotions; our learning is put at a standstill. In our school, we are fortunate to have a guidance counselor assigned to help our students learn how to work with these big emotions in a safe and healthy manner. Unfortunately, the physical space in our school for these discussions is an old storage room with no windows.

Be donating to this project, you will be providing a variety of materials to transform a storage space into a calming, comforting place for our students to grow.

The materials will provide a nice, cozy rug for the floor, drapes to cover the shelving units, comforting chairs, and developmental posters for the walls to brighten the area and transform it into a welcoming space!
