Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are goofy, silly, funny, emotional, frustrated, energetic, impulsive, and craving someone to care about them. My classroom consists of ten students with special needs and fifteen students of mixed English Language Learners and general education students. This makes it difficult to meet the various needs of the students in my classroom.
I do my very best to make each child feel special and that they can do it.
My school has a very large population of low socioeconomic students, as well as children in shelters. It would be great to give these students a chance and an opportunity to meet their optimal potential.
My Project
Having a Projector will bring out my students' inner movie-makers! It will allow them to express themselves through the characters they will create in the short films and skits they will make. It will bring multiple grades together to share in an experience to watch their peers on the big screen. We love making class videos, role playing and puppet shows. Having an avenue to show-off our voices and imaginations would be an amazing opportunity.
This will ignite a light inside my students to reach for the stars and bring out their inner cinematographer.
It will give them a confidence they didn't know they had and the inspiration that they can do and be anything!
