My students are goofy, silly, funny, emotional, frustrated, energetic, impulsive and craving someone to care about them. My classroom consists of 10 students with special needs and 15 students of mixed English Language Learners and General Education students. This makes it difficult to meet the various needs of the students in my classroom. I do my very best to make each child feel special and that they CAN do it. My school has a very large population of low poverty, as well as children in shelters. It would be great to give these students a chance and an opportunity to meet their optimal potentials. Donations to my project will be empowering students through art as well as helping to foster a student-driven classroom. It will give students confidence by allowing them to feel ownership over their learning and their environment. My students come from broken homes and are craving someone to truly care about them.
