Calculate This Impact: Chemistry and Physics Students Need Calculators

Help me give my students four TI-84 graphing calculators to use in AP Chemistry and Physics.

My Students

Help the future scientists experience advanced levels of chemistry and physics! These students are enrolled in AP courses and some need the barrier of financial cost of a graphing calculator removed. Many of these students are considering studying math and science at the college level and would like the opportunity to explore the different science disciplines available.

My Project

Several of my AP Chemistry and AP Physics students carry full class loads as well working part-full time jobs. The cost of a graphing calculator is a burden for many. Having a set of four calculators would allow us the option to check out calculators to students who are in this situation. Having a calculator available to use would allow these students access to this content and technology without straining their families and their budgets.

Help develop the love of science in our future scientists by removing a financial barrier.

Many of these students are exploring what science discipline they might study in college (Chemistry, Physics, Nursing, etc.).

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
