Building With Our Imagination!

Help me give my students Lego Duplox blocks so they can use their imagination and be creative as they explore in school.

My Students

I teach in a full-day preschool classroom with 24 children. These children live in a low-income area where many of them come to school without proper shoes, jackets, and food. Many of them have overcome the struggles of poverty, broken homes, and being homeless.

However, I believe my students are entitled to have the best education that's desirable for them.

I enjoy working in this area because it is so rewarding. It is remarkable watching my students overcome new obstacles every day. My classroom is like a second home for my students; most of them spend more than eight hours a day with me. They use my classroom as a place for warmth, love, and to escape their troubles. As a teacher, it is very important for me to keep my students safe, inspired, engaged, and passionate about learning because these young students are the future. Your generous donation will remarkably enhance their first learning experience. Thank you for helping me make a difference in their lives and learning.

My Project

LEGO is a fun and engaging activity that helps enhance young students learning within the classroom. When students build with Lego, they use their imagination, creative thinking skills, and problem-solving skills.

LEGO can help students increase their fine motor skills and communication skills.

I plan to use these Duplox Lego’s during free choice time and they can use it daily throughout the day. Construction play also requires patience, endurance, and sometimes-lateral thinking to find the solution. Exploring with Lego’s can also help students discover that there is more than one-way to solve a problem and that different approaches could end with the same or a better result. It takes a whole village to raise a child and on behalf of my students I want to thank you for helping me help my student’s learning thrive.
