They have made such a change to the room after having nothing. We use the items in the classroom every single day. \r\nI use the whiteboard and post it papers for many things such as GLAD charts and pictorials. I use the other side of the white board for the letter pocket chart and handwriting without tear magnetic pieces to build the letter of the week. \r\nThe emotion chart I use daily to gauge how the students are feeling in the beginning of the day. I also refer to it throughout the day when students are having big emotions. \r\nThe light covers work to keep the atmosphere a little calmer. The stars we use when we are rotating groups. The students use them to stand on before moving to the next group. My students have been LOVING the sports equipment, and the parents have noticed a change in their children.\r\nThe day we got the boxes of equipment and got the air pump out, my students were very curious to what was going on. I took all the balls out of the boxes, and the kids faces lit up. I asked the students what they wanted to start with first, and they said basketball. We started out with dribbling the ball and it was so cute to see them try. We practiced passing to other students which really helped the students with their hand eye coordination. I bought a mini basketball hoop to go with the basketballs, and now they are playing like they are in the NBA trying to do tricks. It's a very fun time.
