This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are curious, hardworking, and eager to learn. They come from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds, and many are working hard to build their confidence as readers. In our classroom, reading is the foundation for everything we do—whether it’s exploring science concepts, writing stories, or learning about the world. Some of my students are reading at grade level, while others need additional support and practice to close gaps and develop fluency.

I am requesting a subscription to Lexia Core5 Reading, a technology-based literacy program that adapts to each student’s individual learning level.

Lexia provides targeted practice in phonics, vocabulary, comprehension, and fluency through engaging activities. Students receive lessons that match their skill needs, while I get real-time data and resources to provide direct instruction and interventions where they need it most.

This program will allow every student in my classroom to work at their own pace, ensuring that struggling readers receive additional support while advanced readers continue to be challenged. Lexia also offers lessons in both English and Spanish, which is especially valuable for my bilingual learners.

With Lexia Core5, students will:

-Strengthen foundational reading skills in a personalized way.

-Build confidence and independence as readers.

-Receive consistent practice both in school and at home.

-Develop the literacy skills necessary for success across all subject areas.

Reading is the gateway to learning. By supporting this project, you are giving my students the tools to become stronger, more confident readers who are ready to tackle the challenges of school and beyond.
