My students need computers in order to be able to read texts and engage in learning on various platforms. These Chromebooks will help my students access a diverse body of literature and nonfiction texts that they do not have access to at home or at school. Imagine giving students opportunities to read texts that interest them and that are at their reading levels! Also, at our school all of our print textbooks come with online resources and supports that students need access to in order to be successful. With the computers, students will be able to listen to an audio version of the text, read texts at their individual levels, and even practice specific reading skills. In math, students will be able to access a virtual math classroom where they can watch a video of the lesson, practice math problems online, and even complete their assignments! These invaluable online resources are right there for students but unfortunately, many of them lack the technology necessary to access them.
