Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are a group of amazing, curious, and loving exceptional children who learn best through hands-on experiences. They come to school ready to explore, play, and grow, and I love seeing their excitement when they discover something new. Many of my students are working on building communication, social skills, and independence, and they need engaging materials to help them learn in meaningful ways.

The resources in this project will give my students the opportunity to learn through play.

The magnetic letters and numbers will support early literacy and math skills, while the abacus and counting materials will help build number sense. The train set, farm, and town toys will encourage imaginative play, language development, and social interaction with peers. Items like the soft blocks and bead mazes will support fine motor development and problem-solving skills.

These hands-on materials will help create a structured, engaging environment where my students can build confidence, practice important life skills, and experience success in their learning every day.
