My Project

Many of the students in my school do not have a collection of strong books at home. This is where the school library comes in.

Our goal is to ensure students have access to quality books that they want to read as we work to inspire a joy of reading and strengthen literacy skills.

By providing books that students want to read helps them see reading as something that they want to do rather than just another assignment. By ensuring our students have the opportunity to read what they want to read, they are strengthening vocabulary skills, comprehension, fluency and reading stamina.

We want our students to walk into their school library and find a book they are excited to read.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
