Building Our STEM Toolbox

Help me give my students LEGO building sets, STEM books, and the everyday supplies they need for hands-on learning all year long.

My Project

I love how excited my students get when they know it’s a STEM day. I try to make it fun and challenging! They enjoy building, trying out ideas, working with a team, and figuring out what to change when something doesn’t work the first time.

This project will help us have the basic supplies ready for the hands-on lessons we’ll do all year.

Students will use LEGO sets for building and engineering challenges, STEM books to introduce new ideas (STEM and Stories), rulers and measuring tapes to collect real data, clipboards to help to record their thinking, and construction paper and tape to create and improve designs. My goal is to give them the tools they need to spend less time waiting on materials and more time actually doing STEM.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
