My Project

Thanks to the incredible generosity of donors, my first Donors Choose project was fully funded, allowing me to begin creating a welcoming classroom for my kindergarten students. I am so grateful for that support!

As I prepare for my first year of teaching, I am still working to add some of the final pieces that will make our classroom both organized and engaging.

This project includes read-aloud books to build a love of reading, bean bag chairs to create comfortable spaces in our classroom library and calm-down corner, dry erase paddles to encourage every student to participate, Better Than Paper for durable bulletin boards, a classroom doorbell and voice level lights to support classroom management, a teacher toolbox and label maker to keep materials organized, large storage bins to maximize our space, a cube organizer, and a standing desk to help me teach more effectively.

These resources will help create a classroom where students feel safe, comfortable, engaged, and excited to learn. Every item will be used daily to support independence, organization, literacy, and meaningful learning experiences throughout the school year. Thank you for helping me continue building a classroom where every child has the opportunity to succeed.
