Building Math and Literacy Skills for All Learners!

Help me give my students the opportunity to expand their early math and literacy skills by providing a range of developmentally accessible materials such as the mix and match magnetic dinosaurs and magnetic letter tiles!

My Students

My classroom of students includes a beautiful group of 4-year-old children entering public Pre-K for the first time. Our school is located in an urban area that serves an economically diverse population of children and families. Many of my students come from culturally and linguistically diverse homes and are learning English as a second language.

My students are curious, strong, and kind children that are eager to learn and participate in all the play-based learning activities that the school has to offer.

My Project

By introducing these double-sided magnet letter tiles and word building blocks I will be able to increase children's interest and engagement in early writing and literacy skills. With a wide range of developmental math materials such as the mix and match magnetic dinosaurs, the peg number boards, and the Gear builders I will be better able to build on children's individual areas of interest. The translucent bugs, numerals, and the light table patterning trays will catch the interest of all my students and promote engagement at their various levels of development.

With access to these high-quality learning materials, children will be equipped to expand on their early math and literacy skills through meaningful play with their peers.

With these fun and exciting new learning materials, I will be able to support children's learning in connection to our core curriculum work and learning standards. Creating strong engagement with learning for all students!
