My Project

My second-grade classroom is filled with curious, hardworking students who are eager to grow as readers, writers, and mathematicians. At this critical stage in their learning, students are building the foundational skills that will shape their future academic success. I am seeking support to provide engaging, high-quality literacy, math, and general classroom resources that will help every child in my classroom thrive.

Second grade is a pivotal year for developing strong reading and math skills.

My students are learning to read with fluency and comprehension while also strengthening their ability to solve problems, think critically, and explain their reasoning. However, not all students come to school with the same resources or experiences. By providing targeted materials, I can ensure that every student has access to the tools they need to succeed.

This project will provide hands-on, engaging resources such as literacy centers and word work activities to reinforce foundational reading and writing skills and math manipulatives and games to make abstract concepts concrete and accessible. This project will also provide small group instructional materials to differentiate learning and meet individual student needs and everyday classroom materials that ensure the classroom is organized and runs smoothly.

These resources will allow me to create a classroom environment where students are actively engaged, collaborating, and building confidence in their abilities.

With these materials, my students will strengthen their reading skills through structured, research-based practices and develop a deeper understanding of math concepts through hands-on exploration. This project will receive targeted support in small groups to meet their individual learning goals and build confidence, independence, and a love of learning.

By making learning interactive and accessible, these resources will help close gaps and ensure that all students can achieve success. We are requesting a classroom mailbox, pencil pouches, and laminating pouches.
