Help me give my students the basics of what they need for their classroom and a new lab we can do to get them excited about chemistry and science in general! They need Flame Test Kits, tape, trash cans, and hand wash.
How to describe my students? They are the reason I wake up every day! I teach in Salinas, California. Most of my students' families work in the agriculture fields and are eligible for the free lunch program. Despite the hardships in their lives, my kids come in my classroom eager to learn. They might come in having a bad day, but they still give it their all. This inspires me to give them my all every day and pushes me to continue to grow as a person and a teacher.
I am at a new school and need some basic stuff to help keep a positive, clean environment for my students. Along with being at a new school, I am teaching a new curriculum, and I love to do labs and activities with my kids! So my list includes hand soap and a cool flame test lab!
The flame test lab will allow my students to play with fire, and who doesn't like to do that!?
I know labs are what makes science fun, so I try to incorporate labs weekly. Over the years I have collected materials for labs that I do, but now that I am teaching a new curriculum, I need labs that go along with the standards. Please help me keep my class fun and interesting by supporting my project.
