Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My young students love hands-on learning and experimenting! We use play-based learning to explore science, art, math, engineering, and technology. Research shows that communication skills are enhanced through play, and students learn best when they can engage in play-based activities throughout the day. Play-based centers teach students essential problem-solving, thinking, negotiating, social, emotional, fine, and gross motor skills. As well as builds creativity and curiosity about the world around them.

My students have worked very hard so far this school year. They have learned what it means to be a bucket filler. I would love to fill their buckets with tools to keep them actively "learning how to learn" as they navigate the rest of the year. Buckets, Valentine trinkets, twistable colored pencils, and Twist and Write pencils, will be the perfect thing to keep my young students curious and creative as they explore their world.
