My Project

Music has the power to unlock communication, confidence, creativity, and joy—especially for students with disabilities. My K–5 students with disabilities students are eager to learn, explore, and express themselves through music, movement, and sensory experiences.

My students learn best through hands-on, visual, auditory, and tactile experiences.

Many are non-verbal or have communication, sensory, cognitive, and motor challenges. These materials will help make learning accessible and meaningful for every child.

However, many of my students come from low-income families and rely heavily on the resources available in our classroom to access meaningful learning opportunities.

Additionally, they will allow my students to sing, move, play instruments, identify rhythms, practice fine and gross motor skills, and actively engage in lessons.

This project will help create a fully engaging, multi-sensory music classroom where every child can participate successfully regardless of their academic, physical, verbal, or sensory needs.
