I teach 6th, 7th, and 8th graders from all walks of life. My students have art every day which is a great place for reflection, discovery, and to build artistic skills. Access to art is so important and this project will fund supplies for 400 students to bring their creative thoughts to life.
Art supplies such as pencils, sharpies, and colored pencils help students bring their ideas to life.
These supplies will fuel the creative energy of multiple projects. These projects are a crucial part of relieving testing anxiety and studies have shown that students who participate in the arts score higher than those who don't.
My Project
My middle school students thrive with a variety of tools and media in the art room. Having a varied curriculum ensures every student will find success.

These supplies are going to fuel work for a sewing lesson, where students will have the choice of food sculpture they make. Students will also learn image transfer to aid in portraiture and will be making empowered portraits using the paints, acrylic gel medium, and colored pencils included in this shopping cart.
