Students will develop a skill through the use and manipulation of printmaking tools. This lesson will increase knowledge about real world experiences and careers in printmaking. In addition to learning how to create a relief print, students will learn about screen printing, lithography, collagraphs, and intaglio printmaking. Printmaking supplies will play a very important roll in my students creative development. My students will find that the skills they learn during this lesson will help to fuel future endeavors such as craftsmanship, design, and how to plan a composition. Also, I have seen the positive impact printmaking has made in students lives. They feel a sense of responsibility when using the lino cutters and ink. I am excited to educate my students about the skill of printmaking!
