My Project

My students are curious, enthusiastic learners who thrive when they can see and touch the math concepts we are learning. As a virtual K–2 teacher, I work with students every day to build strong foundations in counting, place value, addition, subtraction, patterns, and problem-solving. While we make learning engaging through games and interactive lessons, many of my students don't have access to quality math manipulatives at home.

These take-home math kits will put the tools students need directly into their hands.

Each kit includes ten frames, base-ten blocks, counters, number lines, hundreds charts, and pattern blocks—all essential materials that help young learners develop deep mathematical understanding through exploration and play.

Instead of simply watching me demonstrate a skill on the screen, students will be able to build numbers, model addition and subtraction, create patterns, and represent place value alongside me during our live lessons. These hands-on experiences make abstract concepts concrete and help students build confidence as mathematicians.

The best part is that these kits can be used again and again throughout the school year. Whether we are practicing number sense, exploring geometry, comparing numbers, or solving real-world math problems, students will have the tools they need right at their fingertips.

By providing every child with their own set of manipulatives, you are helping bridge the gap between virtual learning and hands-on exploration. Your generosity will empower students to actively participate, take risks, and discover that math is something they can truly understand and enjoy.
